The Clerk announced that the following Petitions had been lodged for presentation:

                 By the Hon. J. F. Stefani from 20 residents of South Australia concerning voluntary euthanasia.  The Petitioners pray that this Honourable House will -

·        reject the so called Dignity in Dying (Voluntary Euthanasia) Bill;

·        move to ensure that all medical staff in all hospitals receive proper training in palliative care; and

·        move to ensure adequate funding for palliative care for terminally ill patients.

Reford from 6,000 residents of South Australia concerning the proposal for the development of Stage 2B of the Holdfast Shores Project at the Glenelg Foreshore.  The Petitioners pray that this Honourable House will do all in its power to ensure that the proposal (as contained in an Amended Development Report for the development of Stage 2B of the Holdfast Shores Project on the Glenelg Foreshore), which includes a residential apartment building on the site of the Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club, is rejected.
