                 The Minister for Police moved on page 22, lines 1 to 5, to leave out subparagraphs (i) to (v) and insert the following:

      “(i)      1 is a spouse or former spouse of the other or is, or has been, in a close personal relationship with the other; or

      (ii)       1 is a parent or grandparent of the other (whether by blood or by marriage); or

      (iii)      1 is a brother or sister of the other (whether by blood or by marriage); or

      (iv)      1 is a guardian or carer of the other.”.

       (f)       a conspiracy to commit, or an attempt to commit, an offence referred to in a preceding paragraph;

      (g)      an indictable offence committed in circumstances in which the offender uses violence or a threat of violence for the purpose of committing the offence, in the course of committing the offence, or for the purpose of escaping from the scene of the offence.”.

          “I.   recognises the event known to the Palestinian people as Al-Nakba - the Catastrophe;

          II.   affirms the special connection of Australia to the land of Palestine and the Palestinians;

         III.   regrets the failure of both sides, over the last sixty years, to reach an agreement which guarantees justice and lasting peace for both Israelis and Palestinians; and

         IV.   calls for the rapid establishment of the State of Palestine within the 1967 borders in accordance with UN Resolution 242.”.

(e)        recruitment and in service training resources and requirements;

         IV.   Standing Order No. 396 be suspended to enable strangers to be admitted when the Select Committee is examining witnesses unless the Committee otherwise resolves, but they shall be excluded when the Committee is deliberating.
