  • When speaking to this motion, the Honourable Member described historical contaminated sites in South Australia, referring to the "unfortunate past practice 5 of owners of sites, including dumps, service stations, foundries, tanneries and factories.
  • Some people would argue that oil shale could be dumped somewhere else, but considering the volume of it, I cannot imagine 60 metre high dumps of spent shale stretching for kilometres around the area.
