The Crime and Public Integrity Policy Committee (the ‘Committee’) of its own motion, resolved to inquire into and report on the matters set out in the Terms of Reference below.

Terms of Reference

The Committee pursuant to section 15O (c) of the Parliamentary Committees Act 1991 is to inquire into and consider the operation of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 2012 and, in particular—

  • the performance of functions and exercise of powers by the Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Office for Public Integrity and the Inspector appointed under that Act.

The Committee may further inquire into and consider any other relevant matter as the Committee sees fit, however the Committee is not authorised to:

  • investigate a matter relating to particular conduct; or

  • reconsider a decision of any person or body in relation to a particular matter.
